Senior Health Analyst: Stephen C. Berens, M.D., F.A.C.C.

An emeritus professor at the U.C.L.A. School of Medicine, researcher, patent-holder, career-long clinical practitioner, and medical-legal consultant, Dr. Berens has both research and consultative interests in the impact of digital technology on physician/patient interactions as well as on the practice of medicine itself. He has a specific interest in the impacts of wearable computers — both at the consumer technology and medical grade levels — and their data on how physicians and patients collaborate on health care. He also serves as an industry advisor to the Future of Health project at the Center for the Digital Future at USC Annenberg.
